In Turkey, it is really hard to find good sources for Korean because there are not much books which teach Korean in Turkish. I think it is not enough and you can’t find them everywhere either. In this case you are left with nothing and you search in Internet, that is what i do at least.
I found TTMIK about 5 months ago. Since i know English i started to listen the lessons. I bought a notebook and i started to write what i learnt from the lessons.
This is my notebook and it is made in Korea.
I started with the basics. First i learned the alphabet, and i tried not to use romanization because i don’t find it useful. I learned how to say hello, thank you, i’m sorry. I learned how to say having something or not. Turkish and Korean are members of Ural-Altaic language family so it is easy for me to learn Korean. The sentence structures are similar, etc. The only diffuculty is to learn Korean through English.
I catogorized them into little titles. I wrote down the definitions. Sometimes i took little notes.
I wrote examples, sentences and fixed expressions. They are all organized. I can make simple sentences, simple structures and i can understand simple conservations. I watch K-drama a lot, it is useful too, of course.
This is my first notebook and i know that i am at the beginning. I will start to take Korean lessons next month.
A language journey never ends. Have fun!
