Hello everyone! This is my first post in SSK. Sorry, it took me so long to say “Hi” to all the wonderful readers of SSK. For some reason, I couldn’t access my wordpress blog hence the lack of updates for the past weeks. But anyway, I’m back alive and kickin’! Haha. Ready for some more k-updates for y’all!

I’m from the Philippines but now residing in Hanoi, Vietnam. There are a lot of korean stores around my place and korean establishments all over the city which gets me so giddy and excited all the time. I feel like I’m actually strolling the streets in Korea sometimes. Hahaha Well, not that I’ve been to Korea but still with all the korean stores and 한글 written all over the place, who wouldn’t have that korean feel, right? Ohwell, I should really take some good photos soon and share it with everyone.

Okay back to the main topic for this post. As the title suggests, it’s about Running Man! Have you guys watched it? I’ve heard of it several times before but never really had the interest to check it out. But last week, I got so bored and decided to watch the very first episode which aired 2 years ago and I TOTALLY LOVED IT.

Now, I’m on a Running Man Marathon! It’s taking most of my time but I’m glad I am able to practice my listening skills while having fun and getting a stomachache from laughing! Just to give a very brief idea what this variety show is all about, the cast of RM (and invited celebrity guests every broadcast) would be given missions either individually or they will go against each other by team. There are several missions — which of course involves A LOT of running — with exciting twists and it will surely keep you on your seat! I really love everyone on Running Man. They’re all funny and witty and they all have their own “trademarks” or “specialties” for the missions. Oh how I adore (송중기) SONG JOONG KI in here. He’s known for his brains and excellent strategies every mission. Too bad, he had to quit the show after a over a year in it to focus on his dramas. But anyway, who else? hmm, who wouldn’t love Korea’s National MC, (유재석) YOO JAE SUK? And oh! The only rose among the hilarious thorns, (송지효) SONG JI HYO a.k.a ACE who’s one of the strongest member alongside (김종국) Kim Jong Kook. Just can’t get enough of this show, shall watch some more!

Watching Korean variety shows is one of my favorite ways of studying Korean. What’s good about watching variety shows?

They speak more naturally and use “everyday” words which is a plus when learning a language. I also used 우리 결혼했어요 (We Got Married) in studying Korean before, now I’ve shifted to 런닝맨. ㅋㅋㅋ

Anyone ever watched 런닝맨? What do you think? Share it below!
